Description: Linseed oil is obtained by pressing ripe and dry flaxseed. Linseed oil is primarily used to impregnate wood. It is a completely natural product – it is an environmentally-friendly finishing coat.
Application: The most effective way to apply it is by brush. The wood must be dry, untreated (without prior finishes that could seal the wood pores and prevent the oil from soaking deep into the wood) and clean. The ambient temperature during application should not be lower than 10°C. After applying the cost, leave to soak in for at least 2 hours. Any residual oil that has not soaked into the wood must be wiped off thoroughly (a cotton cloth is best for this).
Solvents: Orange oil, D-limonene, balsam turpentine oil, wood turpentine oil, non-aromatic white spirit (LB-40, LB-60).
Consumption: 0.5 l = 3-8 m2
Cleaning of wood: can be washed with lukewarm chemical-free water. It is not suitable to use hot water. Avoid cleaners and degreasers
Shelf life: in sealed containers at a temperature of 10-30°C, in a dry, dark and properly ventilated place.
Warning: Never pile up textiles soaked with oil, but rather store them in a metallic air-tight container or containers filled with water prior to final disposal, or spread them out in a properly ventilated place and leave them to dry. Otherwise, spontaneous combustion may occur.
